Need Specific Place Information?
- Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) Contains current and historical information about physical (forests, woods, rivers, etc.) and cultural (buildings, cemeteries, etc.) geographic features in the United States and associated areas, excepting roads and highways. Each feature location contains state and county information, USGS topographic map name, and geographic coordinates.
