Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the use of machines or computers in a way that resembles learning, reasoning, thinking, and/or learning in humans. The earliest versions of AI have existed since at least 1950. Large language models that power generative AI such as Chat GPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini (formally Bard) first started appearing in the late 2010s.
