NRM 432: Wildlife Research and Survey Techniques: Home

Background

Journal Articles

Books

Some examples of things we have that might be useful are below.  Remember keys, field guides, etc., may be helpful depending on your overall research approach.

Checklists

Reminder #1

Do not reject out of hand methods that are place-based (such as Pacific NW).  Techniques are often transferable)

Reminder #2

Be careful searching for specific species when you are searching for books.  With both books and journals, be prepared to go back up (e.g., dusky gopher frog to gopher frog to frog)

Reminder #3

Use subject terms you encounter as keywords to expand your results.
