It can seem that finding and using images is as easy as a search on Google Images. But each image represents someone's work whether it's a painting, a photograph, or a video. When writing papers and creating presentations it's important to give credit to the creators and owners of material you are using.
This guide is designed to help you find and utilize sources for images. There are lists of resources for finding images from libraries, museums, and online image sharing sites. There is also information on how you are allowed to use these images and help in creating citations or attributions for works you use.
You can work your way through this guide step-by-step or pick and choose the sections you want to use. You can also contact the art librarian at any point in your research. Now let's move to the "Getting Started" tab to learn about strategies for searching.
