Kindle does not support ADE (Adoble Digital Editions) file formats, the most common download format for scholarly eBooks.
You may read eBooks online using the browser on a Kindle Fire, or email a PDF to your Kindle address or transfer the file from your computer via USB.
PDF files can be read on most any device. However, many eBook providers add Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions to the files which require you to download ADE.
You can read any of the library's eBooks on your tablet's or smartphone's browser using the links on the eBook Collections tab.
