Curriculum Material Center 

The Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) supports teacher education students in field experiences and coursework related to teaching methodologies and children’s/young adult literature. The CMC collections include instructional materials, professional teaching resources, NC state-adopted textbooks, big books, and children's and young adult literature. 

The CMC is located on the upper mezzanine in Hunter Library. If you are using the elevator, press the button for the CMC.

Great Resources for Children and YA Literature

Novelist K-8 is a great tool to locate books for children in grades K-8. Books are searchable by author, title, series name, Lexile level (reading level), and plot. It includes lists of award-winning fiction, book lists arranged by genre and subgenre, feature articles, thematic units, teacher resources, and more.

Features original streaming children’s and young adult author videos and audiobook excerpts, and guides to thousands of titles. Browse by grade level, subject, or genre. Additional content includes booklists, Common Core literacy connections, award lists, curricular applications, and more.
