A student ID card is needed to check out print books. To obtain a card, off-campus students should email a recent photo in digital format, along with name, WCU student ID number, and date of birth to email@example.com.
Be sure to include in your email a request that your card be mailed to your preferred physical address.
Hunter Library can provide you with access to our print collection, even if you are taking classes at a different instructional site or online. If you live in Jackson or Buncombe Counties, you may pick up materials at Hunter Library at WCU or Ramsey Library at the University of North Carolina – Asheville (UNCA). Other options for requesting print materials include ABC Express and interlibrary loan. If you need an item mailed to your home, please see instructions in the Using the Library Catalog box below.
The drop-down box that says Western Carolina University can be expanded to WNCLN (ASU, UNCA, & WCU); this searches our entire library network. Any print materials can be delivered to you; we cannot borrow other university's e-books or online resources.
