Find a Book and Other Items in the Catalog: Home

Useful tips on how to locate books, media, and other items in the library catalog.

About this guide

This guide is designed to help you find library materials using the Library Catalog.  The Catalog contains records of items owned by Hunter Library including books, journals, media (CDs, DVDs), maps, course reserves, government documents, newspapers and microfilm.  In addition to print materials, the catalog also has records of electronic sources like e-books and e-journals.

The Library Catalog allows you to search for books by keyword (or topic), by author name, by call # and by title.  You can access the catalog from anywhere as long as you have a computer and access to the Internet.  If you are a distance student, if you take classes not based in Cullowhee, or if you attend classes at Biltmore Park, you can request to have items sent to you at your residence.  This guide also shows you how to use the ABC Express and Interlibrary Loan services to request items not available in Hunter Library's collection.
