Further Leisure Reading Collection Information

Leisure Reading Collection Policy
The library maintains a leisure collection in current popular genres meant to encourage an appreciation of reading and lifelong learning as an important part of everyday leisure activities. These materials are selected by library staff knowledgeable about particular genres and areas of nonfiction and may incorporate recommendations from the public. This collection represents a very modest portion of the overall library budget.

Public Library Resources

If there's a title we don't have, we'd encourage you to also use the region's public libraries! They have many services and programs to offer including shuttling titles you may want between far-flung branches from all over the state.

Check individual library websites for information about obtaining a library card.

Jackson County Public Library
Part of the Fontana Regional Library System, which includes Jackson, Macon, and Swain Counties, the Jackson County Library in Sylva is open 6 days a week.
Buncombe County Library
From Asheville to Swannanoa to Fairview, the Buncombe County Library has 11 branches to serve you wherever you may live.
Henderson County Public Library
If you live in closer to our Biltmore Park location, one of the Henderson County Public Library branches might be best to serve you.
